What separated Jew from Gentile?

What separated Jew and Gentile? Eph 2:14 LBP (ES) For he is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the fence of separation between them; Lamsa translation of Aramaic PESHITTA We are used to the word "wall", being used here instead of fence. This distinction can be important to be our complete understanding of context. In the ancient Temple complex, there was a general court accessible by all races. However, a Gentile could not into the sacrificial court, on pain of death. It has been believed that Paul was alluding to this wall. However, the Aramaic PESHITTA has "fence", which is further explained by Gabriel Roth in this footnote: Aramaic for wall is syaga. Ironically, this exact term was picked up by the Talmudic rabbis in Pirkei Avot (saying of the fathers) 1:1, "make a fence around Torah." ….. These man made rules allowed the Lord of slander, which is simplified to enemy by Lamsa, to accuse the brethren falsely. These accusations were destroyed by the physical body of Yeshua. Eph 2:15 LBP (ES) And he has abolished by his precious body, the enmity between them, and he has abolished by his commandments, the ordinances of the (man made) law, that he may create, in his person (Divine nature), from the two, a new man, thus making peace; Yeshua destroyed the accusations of the enemy by the sacrifice of his own body as it is written: Heb 10:5 LBP (ES) Therefore, when he entered into the world, he said: Sacrifices and offerings thou didst not desire, but a body thou hast prepared me: Then Yeshua elevated the law of יהוה, making it honourable. Placing it above the man made laws and fences or walls. As it is written: Isa 42:21 RNKJV YHWH is well pleased for his righteousness' sake; he will magnify the law, and make it honourable. The word used here for "person" or "nature", is qnoma in Aramaic. Which they believe represents his human and Divine nature. Thus the nature or qnoma of Yeshua is dual. Eph 2:16 LBP (ES) And he reconciled both in one body with Elohiym, and with his cross he destroyed the enmity: (God corrected to Elohiym) His cross His body His Divine and human nature His commandments These are the tools Yeshua used to elevate us above the accusations of the accuser, to make Jew and Gentile one. Paul goes into more detail on these thoughts in Colossians chapter 2. But before we look at the difficult text, it is necessary to look at the plain surrounding texts. Col 2:8 Murdock Beware, lest any man make you naked by philosophy, and by vain deception, according to the doctrines of men, according to the rudiments of the world, and not according to the Messiah, Col 2:20-22 Murdock 20 For if ye are dead with the Messiah from the rudiments of the world, why are ye judged as if ye were living in the world? 21 But, touch thou not, and taste thou not, and handle thou not: 22 for these things perish in the using; and they are the commandments and doctrines of men. The rudiments or traditions of the world and the teachings and doctrines of mere men are the main focus of this chapter. Col 2:14 LBP (ES) And by his commandments he cancelled the written bond of our sins (accusations of the accuser), which stood against us; and he took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross; Col 2:15 LBP (ES) And by putting off his mortal body, he exposed the powers of evil, and through his person (dual human/Divine nature) put them openly to shame. His commandments His cross His body His dual human/Divine nature The phrase "putting off his body", is found only in the Aramaic PESHITTA, of which I am aware. Yet this phrase creates perfect agreement with Ephesians chapter 2.
